Are you a handyman... excuse me, handy person looking for a house to change from property to Property Value?
Are you a good neighbor who gets the frequent (*sarcasm alert*) privelege of walking or driving by your local fixer-upper (read: eyesore)? You know it used to be a nice place... but something slipped over time. Don't you wish somebody would come to your neighborhood and do what needs to be done to turn that pathetic excuse for a house back into a proud member of your community? Do you just wanna get some cheap laughs at the expense of whoever let their place slide so much, they just never bothered coming home one day? If any of those questions drew a Yes out of you, you've come to the right place. Here at Fix My Neighborhood.com, visitors like yourself can submit pictures and brief descriptions of properties (that may or may not be for sale) in your area. When there's one or two bad apples, property value can tumble across the board. But property value can rise just as well as it can slip. Maybe you'd like to see a little example of how a neighborhood eyesore can screw up how a community is perceived. This site has only been up for awhile, so we're soliciting a community effort. Make no mistake, there aren't too many "Guardian Angels" walking around with a hammer and a saw, who will fix up a neighborhood with nothing but community apathy. We have to work together, each and every fixer carrying their weight, if we are going to make good neighborhoods better and great neighborhoods truly amazing. Blight is a nice way of saying that some people just don't care. Maybe they'll get a clue someday, but until then they barely matter enough to even mention. This site is a way of fighting back against apathy, and maybe one day putting the word "ghetto" in the furthest-back pages of history books. Remember, the neighborhood extends as far as we care.
